 ABOUT MILITARY COOPERATIONS OF POLAND AND LITHUANIA
On March 5th chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces paid the visit in Vilnius.

During the visit, Military cooperation in bilateral and allied dimension, security situation in the region, the future shape of Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade and implementation of NATO summit in Newport decisions were the topics of the meeting of the Chiefs of Defence of Poland and Lithuania. The main objective of which were talks with Maj. Gen. Jonas Vytautas Žukas, Lithuanian Chief of Defence, General Gocuł also met with Deputy Defence Minister Marijus Velička and Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius. He also visited NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence (ENSEC COE).

During talks Lithuanian party assessed Poland's contribution to Air Policing mission very high. The talks also concerned implementing the resolutions of NATO summit in Wales in the context of strengthening Multinational Corps North East in Szczecin. Intensification of common exercises as well as the process of creating the common Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian brigade were also discussed.

Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Motacki, Chief of Operations Planning Directorate J3 of General Staff accompanied General Mieczysław Gocuł during the trip to Vilnius.
