MISSIONS
The Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces is responsible for:
1) Polish Armed Forces strategic deployment planning;

2) Polish Armed Forces long-term development programming;

3) supervising general and operational activities of the Polish Armed Forces, particularly including operational planning, mobilization and combat readiness, training as well as organizational and technical development;

4) representing the Polish Armed Forces in key politico-military collegial bodies of the international organizations the Republic of Poland belongs to;

5) advising the Minister of National Defence on both general and operational activities of the Polish Armed Forces;

6) planning the preparation of the Ministry of National Defence for functioning at command posts when a threat to national security occurs or during war;

7) preparing and maintaining command posts where reserve command posts for national defence are envisaged for the President of the Republic of Poland, the Prime Minister and ministers as well as central government administration bodies designated by the Prime Minister.
